It may look a bit updated meanwhile but yes, such a dialog appears.

Maybe not working for the C4D Demo.

It was working fine for the C4D Demo (R18) - it's not working for the fully paid up version I bought last week!

R19 - Visualise.

Maybe I will try re-installing VWX 2018.

Are you using R19?

Yes, R19.

I can't remember having had any problems but am not sure if I exported from VW 2017 or 2018.

Will try soon.

Thanks Zoomer - any help appreciated.

Will try a re-install of VWX 2018 (VWX 2017 shows same behaviour though)

Did a small test.

VW 2018 to R19.

Opened new File from Template, drew a few cubes (rectangles+pull)

Send to C4D > path ? > C4D opens with that file, no Dialog.

Create a new cube (withou saving VW file)

Send to C4D > no more path ? > C4D shows that Dialog.

Thanks Zoomer

Followed your steps exactly and still don't get that dialogue.

Will do a re-install when I get a moment.

So is it behaving for you as it should be / always has in previous versions?

Yes, I had not noticed any issues with the Exchange, in this regard.

And I did a lot exchanges between the last times with VW 2017 and R18 but have

so far not noticed any differences with R19 or VW 2018 tests.

Thanks again for all your help with this Zoomer - appreciated.   Have spoken to Vectorworks UK support.  Hopefully I will get this sorted soon

I don't think that VW can really do much.

That Dialog should appear in C4D/Maxon.

For the first Export from VW you can use "send to C4D" as well as "Export C4D", which has the

advantage that you will find that File again and the "tex" folder images resources beside.

And finally open that File in C4D.

Before an Exchange/Update, C4D has to be already opened, with that special C4D File loaded

as the current active file. Then, when you did a send to C4D and change to C4D App, that

Dialog will appear to ask if you want to Update or create a new Project and what kind of data

you want to transfer or not.

But as you said, you did that already.
