Why don't drafting aids work on automatic working planes? I drew this line on the face of my object as a guide (image below). I wanted to divide the line into 3 segments so I could move the switch and the light to those points. No go. When I use "Line into Segments" the lines are generated on the Y plane. Not particularly useful. These are the things holding me back from embracing the working planes entirely - there's no way to draw proper guides for laying things out.
