One thing I really like about Multiview is the pane description in the upper left of the pane. I wish it was always present in VW, even when Multiview was turned off....
(Sort of a weird wish, I know, and there is a workaround - turn on Multiview and close all but one pane.)
I like that it summarizes the view/layer in an easily visible manner and that it allows direct access to turn multi view on/off. If it were always present you wouldn't need to find it in the menus or use up a keyboard shortcut to turn it back on....
(How about adding a Space Navigator toggle on/off for Multiview?)
