I like that too ! Of course it doesn't save a single click vs the old Class Edit Palette. And I miss an option to assign a Material to all these channels at one time. But I really like that it's a) in the working b) the direction goes to make dialogs more similar and consistent. Quote Link to comment

zoomer
I have to ask that question too, (because of the 1.4 GB file) what hardware ? Never had seen any limits in VW concerning View Display with my kind of projects on my nMac Pro, but your file looks really heavy. Quote Link to comment
zoomer
Cool ! I always thought you may have a PC and start to tell something about 3x 1080 Ti's with 16 GB of VRAM So it should run even on my trash can. No need for iMac Pro. Quote Link to comment

Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted September 16, 2017 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted September 16, 2017 That's an openGL limit for now, I'd want to see control over this in the future among other openGL enhancements. In renderworks modes you can ramp it up to full resolution but in live modes the resolution is downscaled for performance. Quote Link to comment
digitalcarbon
what i like about VW is i can do crazy 3d or a 3d building or a 3d nuclear reactor or 2d 3" details or a 2d map or make graph paper or forms and everything looks good can't do that with: revit onshape Quote Link to comment
digitalcarbon
the fact that you can paste 2d images into a 3d world is great 1 Quote Link to comment

Vectorworks, Inc Employee Dave Donley Posted September 18, 2017 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted September 18, 2017 Hello Kazemester: No multi-pass rendering, but alpha channel is included as of 2017 and 2018 adds a shadow catcher to the alpha channel for compositing purposes. 1 Quote Link to comment
