Window placement error

Hi, when i try to place a window into a wall, it lags a bit and then, it creates a black square in the center of the document. I also lose my ability to pan or rotate my view.

I have repeatedly restarted my vectorworks, and even re-installed it. but still the same issue, thanks.

I use the student version of vectorworks 2017

This does not occur when you draw walls or attempt to insert other object types into walls, like a Door? Does this issue happen even in a new blank file with just a wall and a window insertion attempt?

Could you please attach an example file after this has occurred?

Hmmm, it seems to be fixed after i restarted my computer, should have done that in the first place, sorry for taking up your time
