bkirkham
I've been using VW for years now and I thought I'd be able to figure this out for myself but I have failed utterly. Using 2017, I copied a Martin Atomic Strobe symbol in the resource browser and then tried to relabel it for use as an Elation Proton 3k symbol. The hack worked with one exception. An Instrument Summary box on the Sheet Layer still refers to the Martin fixture and I can't figure out where the data is that I would need to change so that the Instrument key will refer to the new name for the fixture. Can anyone help with this? Quote Link to comment
markdd
First of all refresh the instrument summary. Also, have you changed all of the relevant instrument data for that symbol? Lots of ways to do this but the easiest is to use the Lighting Instrument Maintenance command in the Spotlight menu. If you are still having problems then post the symbol in a blank file and I will take a look. Quote Link to comment
bkirkham
Thanks so much, both of you. Lighting Symbol Maintenance window did the trick. Now there's a powerful little window I've never had occasion to open before. Quote Link to comment
