zoomer Posted August 27, 2017 Share Posted August 27, 2017 For Screen Rendering (OpenGL) you will need a fast graphics card (GPU) For Renderworks Rendering (RW) you will need a fast Processor (CPU) with high frequency and many cores. (look for a good result in Cinebench multi core) If it is a current nMac Pro, the choice isn't that big (6-12 cores). If you are willing to spend more money and can wait another 4-6 months, coming iMac Pro may be worth a look at. You can have up to 18 fast Xeon cores. Not sure if I want to know its price though ....
