RamiahL
I am preparing detail drawing on a section that is exported from clip cube. How can I be able to edit the exported view as a 2d layer, to add some more information and edit some lines I was not able to adjust on the 3D model? Or only copy the cut section line to modify it further? Quote Link to comment
markdd
The section viewport that is made from the clip cube can be flattened. Check the "flatten" box and the viewport wil display just 2D geometry. From there I think you can convert the viewport to a group. (I can't remember if you can and do this as I am not at my computer at the moment but if you can then you can edit the geometry from within the group). Quote Link to comment
RamiahL
The thing is , I am able to get a 2d, but it is just a view port. I can't work with it as individual editable lines. I want to take this viewport and be able to edit it as a 2d drawing without having to go back to my 3D model. Quote Link to comment
markdd
As I said earlier, if you flatten the section viewport that you made from the clip cube and then check the box to always show in Hidden Line, then from Top/Plan view, all you need to do is Modify/Convert/Covert to Group and the Hidden Lines will become 2D editable geometry within a group. The link to the actual 3D geometry will be broken though. Quote Link to comment
