Editing human 3D figures

Is there any way to edit the human figures in VW ?   I am looking for a way to put costumes on the figures for our costume designer, or a way to create and import them into VW

Unfortunately, none that I am aware of. The Human Figure tool has been moved to Legacy status (meaning it will no longer receive support and may be removed entirely) with the plan being to replace it with more functional people that do not increase file size and render times as dramatically as the current ones do.

However, even once a replacement comes out, I do not think it will be detailed enough it its customization to allow for costume work.

I've used the Human Figure tool a lot - and find it useful, but has such a dramatic effect on render times not really practical.

 

Definitely wouldn't use it for costume work.

Don't do it.  That way madness lies.

 

Try taking the costume sketches and creating image props.  You'll have to use a photo editor to cut around the figure first.
