Default title block on new sheet layers

Is there a way to make all new sheet layers use a default title block?

 

I have a custom title block and and custom template. The template has one sheet layer with the title block but I almost always need more sheet layers.  If I use the "new" command it creates a blank layer. My work around is to duplicate the original sheet layer and adjust the viewports etc.

 

Is there a way to make any new sheet layer in a template default to using a certain title block?

I have several symbols that are sheet borders with title blocks attached. All I have to do is to drag one onto the new sheet.

 

That said, I also keep one sheet of each typical size in my main template, and copy from there. Not a huge difference in time or clicks.

Make a template file that has your default sheet layers already set up. Then when you go to create a new sheet, go down to import sheet layer and select what one you want.
