Clean up elevation markers

Recommended Posts

I produced a site model from a topographical map imported into VWs.  The contour interval setting is the same as the topo.  I'd like to produce a topo of the proposed cuts but the elevation markers come out disorganized as pictured below.

How do i edit the markers so they don't overlap or repeat?

I forgot how but I remember having watched one of VW tutorial, tricks or webinar videos

about DTM which described exactly that.

Maybe it was even one of the standard release "new feature" videos,

about 2012 or 2013 era (?)

Select the Site Model in Top/Plan view, Enable the Reshape Tool (Basic tool palette), Choose the mode for Edit Labels and one of the edit modes

Each label on the site model displays with a control point.  Click the control point to move or delete.  If tool is in Add mode, the cursor activates as an arrow  when over a major contour.  Click to place a new label.

Thanks for refreshing my memory in this, I knew it existed but had almost forgotten about it.
If I remember correctly there is also a way to specify the distance between labels regardless of control points, but that could be in another program that I use.
