cookci
Hi, A number of users have complained that when a referenced item in the master file changes, the changes aren't reflected in the target file automatically very quickly (however do eventually update) Apparently this started happening last week however the setup has been live for 3 months with no problems. We are using acronis access connect has anybody any ideas please? Thanks Chris Quote Link to comment
Guest Wes Gardner
Hi All, If I understand the post correctly, this is WAD (working as designed) and has been for as long as I've been using the program. In the target, you must go to the Reference tab in the Nav palette and "Update" the reference. You CAN however, set the FILE to update its references upon opening... cookci
Hi Wes, thanks for the response. There seems to be a setting which indicates that auto update is an option http://app-help.vectorworks.net/2017/eng/VW2017_Guide/Workgroup/Setting_the_Referencing_Options.htm "Check for out of date references every ___" Users are claiming this used to work thanks Christian Quote Link to comment
Guest Wes Gardner
Hi Christian, This might be what you are referring to where Vectorworks will give you notification that references are out-of-date. However, you must still actually update them... Wes Edited August 4, 2017 by Wes Gardner Quote Link to comment
Andrew Davies
Would love references to automatically update every 15 mins or so (instead of just checking). Bit tedious updating them manually all the time Quote Link to comment
collins
Hi Wes, Where can you set the file to update automatically when opening? That used to happen in VW 2019 but I haven't experienced this since using the VW 2021 Thanks Quote Link to comment
