martyn Posted March 16, 2004 Share Posted March 16, 2004 I am trying to import some polygonal 3D files into Vectorworks. I have tried DXF output from various programs but Vectorworks seems to bring them all in as separate faces. Is there a method for bringing them in as a set of stitched faces (ie a solid model) which is what they were in the first place. Many thanks, Martyn. Quote Link to comment
Guest Posted March 16, 2004 Share Posted March 16, 2004 Unfortunately, currently, 3d solids will come in as an ungrouped mesh object where each facet is a single 3d polygon. Once you bring it in, you should be able to Add solid or convert to generic solid or simply group them. Quote Link to comment
