UlysS
Greetings, I was wondering if it is possible to "convert" a 3D drawing into a 2D Top/Plan drawing...If I do this with a cut 3D or cut 2D sectionning tool,I get a completely other plan than expected. Thanks fo any help. Quote Link to comment
Guest
SEt the view to top plan and then use the convert copy to lines command. You'll end up with lines representing that view. Quote Link to comment
UlysS
Ok thanks, but isn't it so that the constraints won't work as in a proper 2D view? Quote Link to comment
Guest
I don't understand what you are saying. Converting 3d objects to 2d objects is a simply process where using hidden line rendering, solid shapes are created. You can resize them wtih the 2d selection arrow or the reshape tool. When you do this, changes made in 2d or 3d are not updated in the corrdinating object. I am going to assume this is what you are referring to. THere really isn't a way around this unless you use hybrid symbols. If you have hybrid objects such as doors, windows, walls, etc - switching to a top plan shows the 2d view. You do not need to convert copy. Quote Link to comment
