Editable Floating Data Bar text

I am getting old. That is a fact not the question. The problem, which you will one day become aware of, is that the text in the hints, like the tape measure tool, in Vectorworks are small and grey. That makes it hard for us geezers to see and recognize an 8 from a 6. Which is irritating and old people don’t like to be irritated.
So, the question is: how can I make the hints easier to see? Can I change the size or colour of them? Buy a cheap magnifying glass? Sit closer to the screen?
Can you suggest a solution for me please?

if you have a mac & a magic mouse you can quickly zoom to anywhere on the screen with option forward wipe.

There are probably very similar ways on windows & other devices.

I use a MacPro but only a regular (cheap) mouse. No matter how much I zoom in, the text stays the same size. And is displayed as a blah grey colour.

Agreed, we need global UI scaling control.

Currently this scaling is controlled by the OS. On macOS, you can adjust this display size under System Preferences > Displays > Display, but the options available there will change depending on the connect display and version of macOS.

Maybe Vectorworks can change the colour of the hint to black from fog grey.....

Could you attach a screenshot of what you're seeing please? Mine is quite dark on macOS 10.12.5 in 2017 SP4:

That sort of hint is legible. Try the measuring tape tool. It is grey.

They could just switch the blue and the gray over and have a better interface.
