Ha, yes. I was referring more to how its described in other software. In Rhino for example, 1d would be considered an extrude, even from an existing object. 2d is more like extrude along a curve.

I think CALLING it "2D Push Pull" is a bad idea, as we have troubles with explaining the differences between 2D/3D/screen plane/layer plane as it is (Rhino can get away with that since they have more clearly defined rules for 1D, 2D and 3D terminology), but this functionality is an excellent idea and I'm totally on board.

Agreed, its a strange thing to describe in words but once a person sees it in action it makes perfect sense.
