Vectorworks, Inc Employee Popular Post PVA - Admin Posted June 27, 2017 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Popular Post Share Posted June 27, 2017 This post doesn't come on any significant date to the best of my knowledge or for any specific reason, but I just wanted to take a moment to express my genuine thanks to our fantastic moderators:@michaelk@Pat Stanford@mike m oz@CipesDesign@Jonathan Pickup These folks have been here long before my time, (My admin accounts "Joined" date is 1999, but my own personal join date to the the company is circa 2007 and I didn't really get heavily involved in the forum until around 2013.) and they are consummate professionals. I can not even begin to quantify the amount of time they save me doing things that the general public never sees. Controlling spam, reporting abuse, organizing threads, encouraging good forum habits and above all else: Answering questions. Not only questions from the public, but also my own inquiries when deciding on a new feature implementation or policy change. To extend my thanks further than just the moderator group, there are many (I won't attempt to tag you all, you know who you are) who have also been here a very long time and provided hours of professional consultation and advice to others. Their earned wisdom and years of hard won experience are priceless, and their open willingness to share it with us is more than generous. Again, I thank you. No single one of us knows everything about Vectorworks, but together we can make it seem like we do. 7 Quote Link to comment
mike m oz
Jim it is a two way street and we greatly appreciate your contributions as well. I've certainly learnt heaps from both the moderators and other users during my time on the Board. 4 Quote Link to comment

Markvl
The best forum I've ever been on. I check-in everyday...except weekends. Always plenty of nuggets of knowledge to be had. Kudos to the @Jimw and the other moderators. Always a pleasant experience. Quote Link to comment

Ross Harris
Ditto. A good online community is almost a must when looking to move to new software or learning an entirely new profession. I've used a number of digital audio workstation software over the years (thanks apple for buying emagic and killing the logic pc version!) and some their forums have been elitist and condescending... I lurk mainly, but the tone of the forum and its users generally has and presence of Jim and a few other vectorworkers fighting the good fight for users is the best online experience I've had/seen in the software I've used 😁.
