Jim Smith
I really don't want to have to model one of these for a project, & there are some SU available from 3D warehouse, but they don't import into VW. Any suggestions where I might try? Quote Link to comment

Jim Smith
Oh, VW 2017 can only open 2+ year old .skp files? The files must be too new. Edited June 21, 2017 by Jim Smith Quote Link to comment
Andy Broomell
Yep. I thought the deal was that Vectorworks would always be able to import one version year back, but I've yet to be able to import a 2016 SketchUp file into VW2017. So for now I always download the 2015 file from the dropdown in the 3D Warehouse. (Or if someone sends me a newer .skp file I just open it in SketchUp and Save As an older version). 1 Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted June 21, 2017 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted June 21, 2017 This is a bug, you are supposed to be able to import up to 2016 (and I THINK even 2017), I think the issue is only on Mac for the moment. I know it will be corrected by the time Vectorworks 2018 releases but I will see if it can be included in an SP for 2017. Quote Link to comment
rDesign
Not surprisingly, the Vw2017 Help File doesn't provide any guidance on what versions of SketchUp files can be imported. Quote Link to comment

Unfortunately the documentation doesn't seem to be keeping up in recent versions. Not sure why.... A new SP appeared today but I don't think this was on the list. KM Quote Link to comment
