Kevin McAllister
The path and profile can be 2d shapes (circle, rectangle, polygon, polyline, oval, etc.) or some 3d shapes (NURBS curves, 3d polygon). When you run the Extrude Along Path (EAP for short) command, VW will automatically convert the path to a NURBS curve. Pat Stanford
NURBS Curve, Polygon, Polyline, Arc, Rectangle, Rounded Rectangle, Line, Oval. are valid object types for profile objects. You can use 2D Polygons, 3D Polygons or NURBS curves for the path, but it will be converted to a NURBS during the extrusion so when you go back it will be harder to edit. If you think you might need to edit the path, you probably want to make a copy of the path object before you do the extrude so you can just redo it rather than try to edit the path. If this 'welcome wall' is really just a wall, there is also the Wall Tool. Edited June 21, 2017 by rDesign Quote Link to comment
