@CraftyCat- in case you haven't already seen this, there is a Vw webinar on June 21st, 2017 on Transitioning from a 2D to a 3D Workflow. It might give you a helpful overview as a new Vw user.

Everyone has been so helpful on this forum so thank you. How, aside from using VW can I do research etc. to help design and learn quickly. Apologies yes I am impatient but also so eager to learn!!

Go to as many exhibitions as possible.

Take a camera, take a sketch pad.

Also, if you can, get into the workshop and talk with the guys who build things, have a look at how the CNC machines work, you won't regret it.

Perhaps @CraftyCatyou might consider going (get the boss to foot the bill) to the Vectorworks Design Summit in Baltimore in September.

Lots of workshops over two days all about VW.
