Andy Broomell
I use a 3D Connexion wireless SpaceMouse in Vectorworks and love it, especially after recent improvements. Incredibly smooth and intuitive! (It took me a while realize I had to manually check for updates for the mouse driver - that helped!) I'm just beginning to learn Cinema4D. As I'm playing around with the SpaceMouse in C4D, somehow I keep ending up with a groundplan thats off-kilter, and find it difficult to correct. Vectorworks on the other hand seems to keep the ground plane nice and level even when crazily flying around your model. Any tips? I know this isn't a C4D forum but I figured I might get the best response here. Thanks! Quote Link to comment
zoomer
That setting is called "lock horizon" in BricsCAD or Modo but ignored or not available in C4D. C4D falls back to Orbit Rotation. I found no workaround so far. Edited May 24, 2017 by zoomer 1 Quote Link to comment
Andy Broomell
Bump. Is there anyone that uses a 3Dconnexion mouse in C4D? Quote Link to comment
dmiko
hello Zoomer, you can use camera for viewport navigation, apply protection tag and lock Bank in rotation. This works then as lock horizon. Have you contacted maxon about this feature? Quote Link to comment
