Model disappears in 3D

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know why my model looks fine in 2D but has suddenly disappeared in 3D. When I try to select the forms it partially appears as attached? I have not changed any of my render settings.

My sense is that it is corrupt.

I have set up identical design layers in a new file and copied the information across floor by floor. This works and makes it visible in 3D again, however everything in the model is a reference and therefore presumably I will have to re-reference it all.

Am I heading in the right direction here? Are my assumptions correct?

Got your file and everything looks fine at my end.

Check these settings:

View > Clip Cube

View > Class Options

View > Layer Options

View > Unified View

View > Unified View Options

My bet's on Clip Cube

I have encountered similar problems with graphics disappearing when switching from 2D to 3D and also after complex 3D editing.

The solution to fixing the issues was to:

1. Simply select the problematic graphics

2. Cut: Windows: (Ctrl+X) , Mac: (CMD + X)

3. Then past-in-place straight back into the file: windows: (Ctrl+Alt+V) , Mac: (sorry don't know the shortcut key combination as not a mac user )

I've found this normally fixes the issues.
