TABLE OF CONTENTS TOOL?

Can we have a tool that inserts a Table of Contents on a sheet layer? In an ideal world, it would poll sheet numbers and sheet titles from the other pages.

Isn't this already available by using a worksheet?

This came up recently.  This thread has examples that use a worksheet to create a TOC and add a column for either the Sheet Layer description or additional notes.

As I often have some Sheet Layers that are not to be printed; so I cheat.

 

- Open Navigation Pallet

- Open the Sheet Layer tab

- Arrange Sheet Layers in order for printing

- With the Command key selected choose the sheets (I highlight every other sheet)

- I then use the OS tool GRAB to select the area I want to show

- Save

- Import the image file

Done
