Referenced Files and Resource Manager

At the moment, the resource manager only shows open files. I make use of a lot of references, and it would be really handy if you could have the referenced (but not opened) files and resources available in the manager, without having to open the file in the background.

 

Any tech reason why not?

Have you tried using the Resource Manager Favorites?

Favourites are good for shared resources in an office, but to me, I think the OP might be thinking more about projects specific symbols. Managing a favourites list around that is kind of clunky.

 

Could we even go one further and sort reference vs home symbols into groups based on source?
