As far as I know (at least in the US versions), no versions of VW REQUIRE storing files in the cloud or require a full time internet connection. The US versions do require an internet connection to activate. And I think they double check the activation periodically, but they don't require a permanent connection. Even with VW2017 which encourages storing the resources on the VW servers and only downloading them as required, does not mandate that workflow. You can still access the Content Manager and download everything for off-line use if you want. Quote Link to comment
