John Callan
I'm using VectorWorks 10 on MacOS Panther. In my VectorWorks Application files, I have .mcd files in folders named, Extras, Object Libraries and Resources. I just downloaded some new ones. Where do they belong? Quote Link to comment
Guest
The object libraries folder is a folder that gets created when VW is installed and contains the library files that come with VW. Extras is another folder with files used for some file links in the application and other example drawings. If you download a VW document from a website (such as one that contains a symbol, hatch, or vectorscript), save it wherever you want. VW is not particular where files are stored, even if you are goiing to add them to your favorites list. For ease of use, you may want to put them iin the VW folder>Obj Libraries. Although, if you delete this folder becuase of needing to reinstall, you'll loose that drawing file. You can save it to the desktop, save it to the root of the hard drive, save it wherever you'd like on the hard drive. Once you save it to a location, you'll want to leave it there if you are planning on adding it to your favorites list. Quote Link to comment
