We need the ability to cancel any in-progress operation. I'm currently sitting here waiting for Vectorworks to convert an object to an auto-hybrid, and it's taking forever. I didn't think it was a very complicated object, and I don't even need it to be auto-hybrid, but I can't cancel the operation. I hit escape and nothing happens. I'm pretty sure my only option is to wait (is it even doing anything? how long will this take?) or to force quit, which I really don't want to do since I haven't saved in a while. Thank god for auto-backups!
I've found myself in this situation many times where I realize some tool or operation is bogging down VW more than expected, and I'd like to be able to just cancel it and keep working.
