Custom Window Arrangement

I need to create the attached window arrangement, essentially two standard windows with a large mullion cap in between and a bulkhead or inset lintel above, as a symbol to be inserted within walls.

Is this possible and if so how would I achieve it?

Yes, when creating a Symbol from your custom Window geometry you can

activate the Wall Insertion Option.

In this case you will even have another "Layer" in your Symbol to define a

special Volume for the Wall Cut.

In many cases you can even mainly use a real Window + some additional

custom geometry in your Symbol to keep some parametric control.

After reading this advice, I have created a corner window symbol and have inserted in the wall, however, VW does not recognise the corner as one wall, so have ended up with this situation - was wondering if there are any suggestions  on how to do this - should I look at creating a seperate cutout symbol for the other wall or is there something I have missed in making the walls continuous?

Try making two corner windows using the window tool and under the type set it to opening or cased opening.   Then place your symbol in the opening.

You can also just make a corner window with the window tool and use the PIO parameters to make a window as close to what you want then model any missing elements you need.
