See through tree symbols ?

I have placed a large tree symbol over some mass planting below but the large symbol blocks out the view underneath, how do I make the upper symbol transparent ?

Got it ! turn the " fill" to none in the Attributes palette rather than solid.

Next question how to make the default as " none" for all fill styles for all plants ?

to use see thru color fills try putting your tree symbols on a seperate layer. set the transfer mode of that layer to overlay. some great graphics can result but test your print drivers capability to print transparent fills. i had trouble with adobe postscript printers.
