assemblyarchitecture
What is the easiest way to copy a rendered viewport and turn it into a bitmap. I do not want to re render every time I print so I reset my viewports to wireframe and keep them off to the side in the sheet layer and only update them when I have time. I want to keep the perspective viewports so don't just want to flatten them. Thanks in advance. Quote Link to comment

markdd
Right click on the rendered viewport, copy and then paste (or better still) in your favourite image editing app create a new file from clipboard...... Quote Link to comment
Pat Stanford
Duplicate the viewport and then Modify:Convert:Convert to Group. This will give you bitmap objects contained in a group. If you put all of your original viewports in a class that you can make invisible you won't even have to move them off to the side, just turn off the class of the viewports after you have made the viewports. zoomer
Beside that there are much less tedious ideas hows to do this, outside of VW, all answers are correct and show the easiest way inside VW. Another idea, if you need to output your images regularly after changes is to create a full screen Sheet Layer for every single render viewport and output via publish manager. It will leave a border to be cropped though and I was still not able to get an exact number of Pixels for the render content by DPI to VP Area fiddling. Quote Link to comment
