Jose E. Calderon
I created my survey site model in one file and a building in a second file. From the Survey file, I attached the building file as a reference file. But Now , how do I translate and rotate the imported layer so that to register in the exact location over the site model? I see the reference layer , but it is placed way out of place. Edited April 11, 2017 by Jose E. Calderon spell Quote Link to comment
bcd
Rather than referencing Layers create a Design Layer Viewport that references your building File. This you can move & rotate at will. View>Create Viewport>Select Source>External Document Quote Link to comment
Jose E. Calderon
YEs but will rendering isometric views will work? Quote Link to comment
bcd
Yes. The Design Layer Viewports are 3D. The crop object is screen plane only (still) so if you don't need to crop the DLVP you will get the full 3D control & behavior you'd expect. Quote Link to comment
AlanW
@Jose E. CalderonHi, This is how I set up my site model and reference my survey into the file. HTH ttps://youtu.be/3pjRwVhjGMA Add the 'h' to the front of this link and paste into google to see video. (do this so the video does not show up here) Quote Link to comment
