3d Image object does not display in section viewport

Question

Is it possible to display 3d image objects (like png trees which face the viewer automatically) in section viewports? I can't geht this working. Am I missing something? If this doesn't work, does anyone have a workaround? Placing them in the annotation space is not really a solution. Why do they show up in normal viewports and not in sections?

Thanks for any help.

If you create an Image Prop instead of just placing the image in the document, or create a texture from the image and apply it to a 3D polygon/surface, they will appear as expected. Sections have a few underlying bits that avoid or otherwise impede showing 2D planar objects (Like floating images or simple Lines) for a number of reasons related to labeling and cut planes.

Good! It may also have been the "Display Planar Objects" option as well as "Project Screen Objects" in the viewports OIP, those are good points to check if it happens again.
