davidwd
A simple question here someone might be able to advise on .. Is it possible to import standard colour codes from external applications ... Pantone ? RAL? Is it possible to set-up a customised colour swatch palette ? Is it possible to import a standard , i.e. RAL colour palette - If such a source exists ? I am trying to match renders with specific RAL codes . Regards David Quote Link to comment
AlanW
@davidwdHi the swatches are probable already in VW. select the fill colour and pick colour and you will have lots of swatches to chose from. HTH Have a look at the help file it outlines how to create custom swatches. http://app-help.vectorworks.net/2017/eng/index.htm#t=VW2017_Guide%2FAttributes%2FSetting_Default_Colors_and_Palettes.htm&rhsearch=color swatch&rhhlterm=color swatch&rhsyns= Edited April 4, 2017 by Alan Woodwell Quote Link to comment

Regards David To follow on Alan's reply, color palettes can be imported using an .XML file containing the color values, see this page from the 2017 Help File: Creating or Editing Custom Color Palettes RAL color palettes were posted to the forums years ago and were correctly deleted because of copyright infringement issues. If you need RAL colors, you'll have to purchase RAL Digital. You should also be aware that there is a longstanding bug where Vw will internally shift the color values after you input them, so even if you think you're matching Pantone (or whatever), they may not actually match. Here's a link to one thread where this is discussed: Edited April 4, 2017 by rDesign Quote Link to comment
davidwd
I will have a look here - Knew it was undoubtably something simple - somehow I had only ever seen Classic and Standard colours . Thanks Quote Link to comment
