barkest Posted March 27, 2017 Share Posted March 27, 2017 With 2017 we can import/export OBJ which opens up a lot of possibilities. So I too a Sub-D object (no need to convert) and then exported to C4D where I unwrapped it before sending it back to VW via OBJ. The object is now a mesh and has a map type of imported. Is it possible in the future to take the Sub-D object and just change the map type to imported and then point it to a .mtl file so the object stays in its original sate. In other words I would export the object, unwrap and then point the original object to the imported map?
