MRD Mark Ridgewell
Hi, I'm looking for a way to place 'non-expiring' interactive (web view) model on websites. I'm aware of sketchfab (www.sketchfab.com). A couple of export/ import options I can see, 3ds & iges. Anyone tried this before either with sketchfab or any other suggestions on how to achieve this? Andrew Davies
Looks great! Never heard of Sketchfab, but going to check it out now. Sorry i can't help on how to post it permanently - but thanks for sharing. How did you export it out of VWX? Remarkably similar to my garden office too - though not quite as big ;-) Andrew Quote Link to comment
MRD Mark Ridgewell
Export as 3ds file from Vectorworks, then in sketchfab upload the 3ds file including texture files. You can tweak the materials e.g. The glass came out opaque but I was able to add back translucency. Also needed to adjust the scale. 1 Quote Link to comment
Andrew Davies
I'm really impressed with Sketchfab - been playing around with it. I thought Webview was good - but this.....! Quote Link to comment

I have been looking at Sketchfab also. I have an account. Just have not got to it. The reason I am looking at it is, as I understand it, you can upload VW native files directly. You can pretty much buy anything online now except native VW files. I think this is where the market is. Edited December 11, 2023 by VIRTUALENVIRONS Quote Link to comment
