AlanW
Attached is a network (with a few of Doms nodes) that creates a road and based on the angle of the curve it cambers the road. Need to refine it a bit so as to adjust it based on speed and it can send to surface and curve around site. will look at attaching a site modifier to the underside of the road so the ground follows. 170307_02.vwx Edited March 7, 2017 by Alan Woodwell 3 Quote Link to comment

AlanW
Hi, Whats the trick for closing the loop? Played with a few nodes. I know what i need to do but can't seem to get it. Copy the first in the list to the last. 170312_01a.vwx Edited March 13, 2017 by Alan Woodwell Quote Link to comment
Marionette Maven Marissa Farrell Posted March 13, 2017 Marionette Maven Share Posted March 13, 2017 Hey Alan, One of the easiest ways to do this is by using a Pop Front node to get the first item in a list, and then the Append node to add it to the end of your original list. I'm attaching a file that demonstrates this. Marissa 170312_01a_MFarrell.vwx 1 Quote Link to comment
AlanW
@MarissaFThanks for this. I knew this was the solution but I was trying to put it in the wrong location. So after all the objects have been calculated Pop Front this to the total list and bingo. I see it now. Thanks Edited March 13, 2017 by Alan Woodwell Quote Link to comment
AlanW
@MarissaFHi, I was wondering if the loftsurface node was missing something. When I run and set the node to solid I get a choppy road that is not solid. If I loft a few of the shapes using the loft set to solid command from VW it turns out solid and smooth, see attached. Any Ideas??? Thanks 170312_01a.vwx Quote Link to comment
Marionette Maven Marissa Farrell Posted March 15, 2017 Marionette Maven Share Posted March 15, 2017 Hi Alan, I'm not really sure. There's a chance that the backend code for lofting hasn't had all of its parameters exposed to the functions we use in Python, or there's a chance we use a completely different function altogether. I can try to learn more, though I'm not sure how much can be changed right away. Thanks for bringing it to my attention! Marissa Quote Link to comment
