Josh NZ
The below image is from a new blank file and shows 3 "spaces". Anyone see the issue when using them to show room sizes? Hopefully the same issue doesn't happen for windows, columns and other objects. Quote Link to comment
Pat Stanford
Is it just an issue of how the label is created? Can you change the order the fields to match what you want? For me, the "Height" field in the Space Object Record is Length. The "Width" field in the Space Object Record is "Width" Put them in the order you want and them put the other text you want around them. Quote Link to comment
Josh NZ
We would be happy with either width by height, or height by width. At the moment its just larger dimension by smaller dimension. In the settings you can only pick "calculate room dimensions". Quote Link to comment
Pat Stanford
I see options in the Format Field for Length and Width in addition to Calculate Room Dim. If you click the Manage Space Labels you can add as many field to the label as you need. If you click the Edit Layout button you can move the text blocks around to get the arrangement you want. If you click the Edit button to the right of the Format Field you can add prefix and suffixes as necessary to each field. Let me know if this is not clear and I can send pictures. Rishie
Could we calculate (X direction x Y direction) ? other then (length x width) (or) (width x length), calculate room dimension taken as (length x width) which is longer side of rectangle x shorter side of rectangle Quote Link to comment
Mark Aceto
@Pat Stanford I'm confused about editing Data Tags from within Space Tool Settings. I simply want to duplicate the "Space Tag-Simple w/ Area" tag, and then add calculated room dim's, ceiling height, and volume. Edited October 12, 2020 by Mark Aceto Quote Link to comment

I'm getting the same issue with a Data Tag (I gave up on the Space Label). The issue seems to be there's no correlation with X or Y: "length" = longest dim "width" = shortest dim I need to find a way to: Display "X length x Y length" Show secondary units (metric) for volume Show thousands separators Edited October 13, 2020 by Mark Aceto Quote Link to comment
Mark Aceto
@Pat Stanford Also, how is the Edit Data Tag window organized, so that I can display all of the fields in the same order as the tag display vs this: Edited October 13, 2020 by Mark Aceto Quote Link to comment
BizGoz
Hello all, I'm running into the same issue. Even though I've adjusted the text in my space tags, the widths & lengths are not displaying properly. At some point as the boundary increases, the dimensions mislabel the width/length. Has anyone found a way to resolve this? Quote Link to comment
BizGoz
My workaround was to create two space tags, width X height & height X width to use as needed Quote Link to comment

BizGoz
@Silvano can you elaborate? I have "calculate room dimensions" selected but doesn't fix the issue. I might be missing something. Thanks Quote Link to comment
Silvano
BizGoz, it's just and exactly what you did in the last post. I don't understand why it didn't work for you or why I needed to do it, but it worked for me. Quote Link to comment
