sle7en7
Hello, I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong but when I'm resizing walls by punching in the actual change in dimension (within the OIP) of the wall, the joints keep breaking. This method used to work in 2016, was there alteration in the 2017 version? Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted February 22, 2017 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted February 22, 2017 That breaks the walls for me in 2016 and 2015 as well, I see no difference in 2017 and I don't recall that behavior. There is an Enable Connected Walls mode in the Selection tool, but that should only apply to manual movements or movements controlled by the floating data bar rather than the OIP. sle7en7
Ok, I figured it out, again. If you have the coordinate (rectangle w/ 4 quadrants) mode selected when you click the wall it will break the connection if you change ∆X or ∆Y manually BUT if you have the angle mode (circle w/ dot in the middle) selected then you can resize the length (L) of the wall and keep wall connections in tact. Whew, an hour well wasted Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted February 22, 2017 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted February 22, 2017 THAT makes more sense, I could have sworn it hadn't changed recently but that mode would do it. Thanks for letting me know, that's something to check if it comes up again for someone else! Quote Link to comment
sle7en7
I know I feel like it's often very overlooked and something that would benefit a lot of people. Important to highlight in future tutorials or the online help system ! 1 Quote Link to comment
