sjennison
Hi, Could anyone tell me the best way to export from Vectorworks and import to MicroStation? I would like to keep all 3D elements in tact, for MicroStation to recognise walls, slabs etc. When exporting to DWG/DFX this information seems to be lost... Is it possible to retain all the information as seen in Vectorworks? Quote Link to comment
zoomer
I would try IFC. I have no current Microstation so I don't know how it will handle IFC imports. But it does work for VW to Archicad. After unlocking the Layers Architectural Objects are recognized and can be edited in Archicad. Maybe it works for Microstation too. Although that is something IFC is not meant for. DWG/DXF and other Exports will give just geometry, no further information. But to have Architectural Elements in Microstation at all, do you use Microstation Architecture or even Triforma ?
