Uncased openings render with unwanted solid lines

In the door-in-wall options you can choose under "configuration" a "cased opening" which has a frame around it, or just "opening" which just gives you a clean hole in the wall.

The simple opening is useful for various things; in the attached image I've used it to create an opening beyond which is a bay window.

But whenever I do a rendering with one of these uncased openings I get lines around the edges as you can see. Is ok in openGL but they seem to show up in any Renderworks render. In this instance they are black lines; I think in the past I've sometimes had white lines.

Is this a known issue, or am I doing something wrong?
