M_Fedoruk
Here's my problem: Just upgraded to Panther (Mac OSX) and Vectorworks 10.5.1b and for the life of me cannot remember how I disabled the mac command for showing/hiding the Dock so that pressing alt/apple/d opens the duplicata array command. Any help? Quote Link to comment
Guest
Go to System Preferences:Keyboard & Mouse:Keyboard Shortcuts tab and de-select the dock setting to auto hide and show dock with the power key combo. Quote Link to comment
Henry Seiden
Is there any to change the assignment in Vectorworks? Or in OS X? I tried their assignments there and for OS built-ins it is impossible. Why would Vectorworks pick such a keycode? Why doesn't the app allow assignment of key code choices by the user?? Quote Link to comment
Guest
You can assign just about any combination to any tool or menu using the Workspace Editor. The duplicate keyboard shortcut has been so for many many years prior to the OS's initialization of it for an os operation. Many people expect the cmd+d to execute the duplicate function. You have two choices - turn off the keyboard combination for the dock as described above, or use the workspace editor in VW to change the combination for the duplicate command. Appendix A in the VectorWorks User's Guide describes using the workspace editor for this purpose. Quote Link to comment
