Is there a way to insert a number of rows or columns at once in the middle of a worksheet?

Hong,

while you are in the worksheet click on the little arrow pointing down just below the red "X" . The sub menu should pop out and scroll down to insert-> row or column.

you simply highlight the rows or columns where you'd like to place new ones, go to the worksheet file menu and select "insert row...'. the quantity of rows or column you select will be reflected in the new ones. example, if you select 3 existing rows, 3 new rows will be inserted. hope this helps...
