Could this be drawing complexity overwhelming the output?

I can't replicate with 2d text placed on extrude in design layer.

Same result if SLVP is updated to Top/Plan with OGL render.  Entire text box is visible.

If possible, isolate. Paste into a new, blank vwx file:  a problem text object on it's host surface. Post the new file here.

Thank you for taking a look at this! I have attached a simplified and stripped down file that exhibits the same behavior. I layer imported a portion of the original drawing into a blank VWX file, and then added a quick sheet layer with a few OGL VPs.

Hmm, can simply just drawing complexity be an issue here? That is unfortunate if that is indeed the case, because it feels like the project is well within VW's modeling capabilities and overall scope.

Thanks,

Ben

First of all, Not Your Fault!

This text is not working as expected.

But, I found that the entire text block will render if the block edited.

Change the Horizontal Alignment from Center to Left.

Side note: In Center Alignment I was able to expose more of the characters by dragging the text block to increase its length.

Not a good workaround though, because the color fill did not expand with the new size, and, the block needed to be huge to show all the text.

Anyway, hope the re alignment can work for you.

@JimWCan't speak for others, but on my system:

•  3d viewports, the text displays truncated in OGL, Fast & Final RW. Displays as not truncated in Hidden Line.

•  Top viewport, Hidden Line, the text is not truncated

• Top Plan/WireFrame. Text no truncated.

Also, the text block change to left alignment allows(?) the text to display as expected in all render modes (well, I didn't check all the render styles).

More comment:

1. Many of these text blocks are contained in symbols.

2. If renders are made on the Design Layer , or in symbol edit, in 3d view the results are different:

•  OGL displays the text as expected. All text, I think.

•  RW alters some of the text blocks.  This may be "z-fighting".  Moving the text away from host surface allows RW display of entire text block.

Maybe lots of things going on with this.
