I have a colleague who's asked me to help with some minor work. He works in 2015 and ordinarily I would work in an older version, but I never installed 2015 on my old machine due to OS issues, and I don't have 2015 on this machine. I have noted that some of his files take a while to load & I do get the occasional crash. Today I'm attempted to Batch convert a new file from him & VW 2017 crashes before it finishes the batch convert. Funny story, I CAN batch convert it to 2016.
