Cadplan Architecture Posted January 5, 2017 Share Posted January 5, 2017 We are having problems importing a surveyors DWG site survey into Vectorworks as whatever import scale option we try the 10m grid measures off at 20cm. Is anyone able to offer advice on import procedures so that it comes in at a correct scale/ Thanks Quote Link to comment
AlanW Posted January 5, 2017 Share Posted January 5, 2017 (edited) Try this and you should get the scale of the Survey. I would always reference the file into my final document, keep the survey as a Shuttle File so you don't end up with all the survey classes just put the reference file on a class of its own. I noticed that in Tools I have very limited options in the import setting and cannot set the scale etc , which I saw in a 2018 youtube video. When I import the DWG file it opens as a line drawing and then as soon as I lift the cursor it reverts to very thick paintbrush lines, so the imported drawings are unreadable. Quote Link to comment
