EvB
This is a simple way to accomplish what I think you are trying to do. You will need to have a visible layer specifically scaled to this symbol. We do this with our drawing title. It remains the same size regardless of the active layer scale. You might need to have one of these secondary symbol layers for each of your primary layers if these symbols need to appear on different layers, -(ultimately sheets) in different positions. In this case, display of these associated layers would be choreographed using sheet settings. I hope this helps. Quote Link to comment
Ariel
I believe Fredrik is asking how he can create scale-independent plug-in objects similar to the drawing label and reference marker tools. ariel Quote Link to comment

ccroft
You need a vectorscript that will look at the layer scale and adjust the size of your object. A symbol in v-works is always scaled. If you want to work from a symbol, it must be set to convert to group on insertion. As you know, a plug-in can do it. Go to http://www.vectordepot.com/ ,download gMarker plug-in and open the plugin file in a text-editor to see how it's done. Or if you have an older version of vworks you can open one of the marker plugins with create plug-in. Quote Link to comment
