Camera Match Not Working

I'm assuming I can still export to VW24, then just reopen the file in VW25?

Yes, of course.

Just as this export/reimport somehow seems to fix your buggy behavior - in VW 2025.

For fine tuning, I think all (best suited/visible)vertical Z lines should be fine, while all X and Y helper lines need to be placed on these four foreground buildings only, which use the same desired XY orientation (or rotation along Z axis) for your project.

I also experience all kind of VW 2025 awkwardnesses in 3D Viewports. AFAIR mainly after doing Undos, that suddenly the view zoom gets off and/or the view rotation went to "trackball" rotation (banking), which VW never offered before and it needs a switch to top plan view to bring it back in usual "lock horizon/turntable" mode.

I think something big went out of order in VW 2025 with orientation in 3D Space.
Could be that these issues first started with SP 2-3, could also be that switching from M1 to M4 Max is the cause.

@Michael Siggers,

Sorry for the troubles you've been having.  The double photos is caused by something going wrong in the alignment between the photo image in the Camera Match object and the viewport's render background.  The image in the Camera Match object is used for placing the control lines and for tuning the view in line render modes.  You can turn the image off be deselecting "Show Photo" in the Object Info palette for the Camera Match object.  When clicking on the Object Info palette "Render Viewport" button for the Camera Match object, "Show Photo" automatically turns off for render modes that support render backgrounds or turns on for modes that don't.  I've never seen this issue before and I cannot reproduce it in a new file.  I will note the photo image misalignment in the bug report to make sure this also gets looked at.

@Michael Siggers,

I did notice the shifted image problem does go away after clicking on the "Render Viewport" button (of the selected Camera Match object) or by existing the annotations and clicking the viewpoints "Update" button.  Unfortunately, the "Fine Tune View" dialog also has the offset problem.

@Michael Siggers, Et al,

Some of the issues are fixed in 2025 Update 4 and the rest are resolved for 2025 Update 5.  The main issue you were having is fixed in Update 5 but can also be corrected by users by setting the Projection for the viewport containing the Camera Match object away from the new "2-point Perspective" mode.  Camera Match always sets the viewport to 3-point perspective but could not tell if the viewport was using a 2-point vs 3-point.  Currently, Camera Match calculations rely on three vanishing points and the new 2-point perspective viewport mode throws things off causing the shifting of the model and background image.
