Knowledgebase Upgrade

Today we have taken another step in our community plans, with the first phase of the Knowledgebase upgrade going live. We have not only modernized the tech that houses the knowledgebase articles, but also chosen to integrate them into the Forum.

 

This means that if you search All Content here from the forums or from the main community page, you will not only get forum posts and replies as results, but also relevant kbase articles as well all in one view. If you click on "Knowledgebase" up at the top, you will be taken to the new kbase index, and if you perform a search on this page specifically, by default you will only see results in the form of articles, we felt this was the most commonly desired behavior.

 

Comments have been left unlocked on these articles so feel free to post feedback or suggestions for improvements of any specific article, or post a reply to this thread for suggest changes to the overall system itself. We know a lot of distributors and external sources cite the kbase directly, so we have ensured that a number of highly used pages will have their old links redirected to the appropriate pages on the new one, this should be working by the end of the day at the latest. As with the forum transition, there will be a period where Google takes a bit to catch up, but then all normal web search methods should find the new articles directly as well.
