jmartinarch
In every office I have worked in, and all the plan sets I have looked at a simple surface mount incandescent light fixture symbol (I know they are on way out) in 2d plan view looks like the fixture in the middle. While VW symbol is the one on the left. Meanwhile the simple circle often indicates a recessed fixture. I like that VW puts the R in recessed, why not a P in the pendant instead of a black filled circle which then resembles what the majority use for smoke detectors? Does anyone use these symbols or do you just use your own? Quote Link to comment
SamIWas
I create my own symbols for pretty much everything. Stock symbols don't seem to follow any sort of design standard, and I like my stuff to have a cohesive look. Quote Link to comment
michaelk
Me too. I attach records to them to capture the notes for the key. I also need better 3D than the stock tools use. Especially w/ outdoor fixtures in exterior elevations. Quote Link to comment
