Hybrid Truss & Instrument 3D rotation

Question

Has there been any progress on the much despised issue of rotating hybrid instrument symbols in 3D?  I don't think I've had a show this year that has been entirely flat truss.  Everyone these days is designing rigs with something raked.  There needs to be an easier way to build a Truss, place fixtures on it, and rotate it all in 3D whilst retaining the 2D symbol elements.

Have you tried using design layer viewports?

Draw the inclined truss flat like it would be assembled on the deck on its own design layer.

Make a DLVP of it on another design layer.  Move that DLVP in 3D where every you want it to be.  I don't think you can export the fixtures to Vision or GrandMA like that, but everything else, including draw beam still works.
